BPA has secured full planning permission for 4no. high-quality detached dwellings in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Due to the sensitive nature of the site (Cotswolds AONB and in close proximity to designated heritage assets) coupled with the site’s complex and rather colourful planning history, we undertook pre-application discussions with the local authority. During which, we successfully established the principle of residential development on the whole of the site area, and sought clarity from the council regarding the issues that needed to be addressed to secure a positive determination. The result is a cleverly designed scheme, incorporating features typical of the Cotswold vernacular with a contemporary twist.
Through our strong planning submission and positive engagement with the case officer, the application was approved under delegated authority

Permission GRANTED – Permission in Principle (PiP) planning application has been approved under delegated authority for the erection of a single dwelling house in the north Cotswolds.
The site lies on the edge of a non-principle settlement, wholly within the Cotswold AONB and in an area with strong vernacular.
Now onto the exciting design phase!

On behalf of Mike Hartnell of MDH Forestry Services Ltd., Brodie Planning has secured consent for a forestry building within an AONB at Hawton Wood, near Little Compton (Stratford Borough Council – 19/02768/FUL). The building will provide much needed storage space for forestry equipment, plants and machinery and a w/c facility. In a voluntary capacity MDH Forestry is very active in hosting organised tours to promote the environmental, social and health benefits of forestry. The w/c facility will be very useful in this regard!

Consent secured from Tewkesbury Borough Council for the retention of ancillary accommodation (19/00730/FUL). Following a prolonged planning history and renewed enforcement action, Brodie Planning has secured the consent for a building originally constructed as a site office for the construction of a replacement dwelling on Cleeve Hill, Cheltenham. Successful negotiation with the local planning authority was required to regularise planning, enabling the applicant to continue their successful Air BnB business. Short-term letting is currently a changeable area of planning and BPA can assist you in such matters.
