Brodie Planning successfully secured permission for the construction of a single storey rear extension with fenestration changes to a dwelling in Cheltenham. A more contemporary design approach was proposed with the use of black vertical timber cladding and black doors. The suggested materials will add visual interest to the building and ensure that the extension reads as a modern, later addition. The existing brown UPVC windows were considered dated and of little architectural value so these were replaced throughout with black aluminium along with changes to size and opening style to modernise the property giving it a new lease in life.
