Wychavon District Council

The Sedgeberrow Neighbourhood Development Plan progresses to the next stage of the NDP process… Regulation 16 consultation commences.

Under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Sedgeberrow Parish Council submitted its Neighbourhood Plan to Wychavon District Council on 7th June 2022. In accordance with Regulation 16, a public consultation has commenced and runs from Monday18th July to Monday 5th September 2022, during which interested parties were invited to make comments on the submitted Sedgeberrow Neighbourhood Plan to Wychavon District Council.

Sedgeberrow Parish Council undertook consultation on an earlier draft of their Neighbourhood Plan, in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, which commenced midnight on Friday 17th September 2021 and ended midnight Saturday 30th October 2021.  Comments received during the consultation period helped inform changes made to the document submitted to Wychavon District Council. The Neighbourhood Plan proposes a number of policies on future housing development, important Local Green Spaces, and flood risk.

Collating responses to the Regulation 16 consultation is the responsibility of Wychavon District Council. The responses received will be passed on to an independent examiner, who will assess them, and the Neighbourhood Plan documents to determine whether the Neighbourhood Plan meets the relevant legislation and should proceed to a Referendum.

Norton-Juxta-Kempsey Parish Neighbourhood Plan Worcestershire

They are a small but committed group and had already completed a residents’ survey when we started working with them. The results of this survey have been used to formulate a plan of work and we are now working hard to compile a full evidence base to develop polices for the Plan.

We are currently working with the group to produce a Green Space Background Paper. We have provided them with a framework to undertake assessments and have been helping them to review the green space in their parish. We are starting to explore policy options that will be specific to the needs of the parish.

PEBWORTH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

BPA worked with Pebworth Parish Council until the successful completion of their Neighbourhood Plan.

Status: Completed September 2019

Pebworth Parish Neighbourhood Plan

We are delighted that the Pebworth Parish Neighbourhood Plan was formally ‘made’ (adopted) by Wychavon District Council on 18 September 2019. It now forms part of the statutory development framework for Wychavon District and will be used alongside the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) in the determination of planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area.

We had worked with the group from 2016 from conception to adoption and were involved in every step of the process; including public engagement, evidence gathering, policy drafting, report writing, analysis of consultation responses and even submitting the Plan for examination.

The Neighbourhood Plan has a number of policies on issues including housing, design, the natural environment, community facilities and rural employment.

The adopted Pebworth Neighbourhood Plan and the Examiner’s Report can be viewed on  Wychavon District Council’s website.
