Camp Gardens, Stow-on-the-Wold

BPA has secured full planning permission for 4no. high-quality detached dwellings in Stow-on-the-Wold. Due to the sensitive nature of the site (Cotswold AONB and in close proximity to designated heritage assets) coupled with the sites complex and rather colourful planning history, we undertook pre-application discussions with the local authority. During which, we successfully established the principle of residential development on the whole of the site area, and sought to clarify from the council regarding the issues that needed to be addressed to secure a positive determination. The result is a cleverly designed scheme, incorporating features typical of the Cotswold vernacular with a contemporary twist. Through our strong planning submission and positive engagement with the case officer, the application was approved under delegated authority.
